@Gray_Ghost6 @drewlevin Well, they do start at 4pm local time. If you start 4pm USA time, you would have to start between 4 and 7 am, depending on which American time. Internationals are generally scheduled for local time, so the people can actually attend the stadium.

@AtomiumLOL The players could benefit from it in terms of accomodation. SK have a nice facility in Cologne, also many players complain about not liking Berlin. The Team could benefit from a nicer atmosphere that way. Also the travel would "only" be about 5 hours. You lose scrim time though

for context, this is the distance from the bay area to los angeles presumably, SK's players will take a train to berlin for the weekend and stay in a hotel for the games. the ping for scrims will be noticeably higher, though.

@razlol This move just reduced the value of every team’s investment in their slots by millions of euros. And it’s not unlikely that Riot will go along the lines of “it worked amazing in spring, viewers loved it, they can play in the LEC for the entire year,” like they did with Fearless.

If you’re negative on this but also anti franchise then you’re being blinded by your personal fandoms. We should want more demacia cup-like events, or guest slots that allow the best tier 2 a chance to play in tier 1. A path to pro that isn’t gated by “bad” GMs & scouts not valuing your worth, and proving them wrong by kicking their team’s ass. Looking forward to it.
