To be fair dodgy third party app worked. However, I have asked my feedback to be passed on: it is extremely bad practice for a company as big as Mendeley to ask customers to download third party apps to fix THEIR buggy software. Uninstall should uninstall...#stillnotconvinced

No offence to the person from @MendeleySupport trying to help me, I know it's not their fault, but going into private messages (to avoid bad publicity) and then asking me to download a third party cleanup app to fix THEIR software problem is laughable...
