I don't think heat is such an issue as the train looks ventilated. However taking into consideration the number of services and crowd, closing the doors at each station will be possible if guards are assigned

@MumbaikarMe21 AC EMU is compared with non ac EMU as the only difference is air conditioning. In a car of 4 persons, AC adds 1 Rupee per km but EMU it is Rs 10 vs Rs 95

@anayjoglekar Metro runs on dedicated lines and use CBTC. There is no timing for metro you have continuous service. AC EMU run on same lines where other EMUs and express trains run. If you compare aqua line with AC EMU the fare is just 25 rupees more for similar distance.

@sachinrtfan @MumbaiMetro3 Point to point 1 hr 45 mins. A cab could have taken same amount of time. Had I boarded a fast train at CSMT station, or simply walked to Currey Road station instead of metro 3, I could have saved at least 20 minutes but I wanted to sit after a day of work.

@iamicarux @MumbaiMetro3 Done that in the past. The question was not only time but comfort. Getting into a train and finding a place to sit in a train at 19:15 is difficult. Other option was to take Metro 3 to Marol Metro 1 to Ghatkopar and train. There also the same problem.

@anayjoglekar @MumbaiMetro3 Why not walk to currey road instead (10 min more walk)? St Regis to CR - 20 mins: 19.10 eta 19.10 Thane or 19.15 Kalyan slow from CR (likely to get a seat too). Would have reached Thane 20 mins earlier and saved the 30 bucks of Metro ticket too.
