Very proud wee team today as some of our members delivered some care packages to both Arcadia Gardens and Riverside nursing homes ! This was enabled via a grant we applied for , and the mission was a complete success. Well done to all the members of BDAA

Do you know that Bridgeton and Dalmarnock Area Association, award grant to local community projects? We have gave grants to various groups in the past, who use the grants for children's, youths and older persons benefit.

We have given grants to nurseries, church groups, and groups who look after grandchildren. We have assisted them to have Christmas parties, to respite holidays, to helping drama groups and dance groups. Application forms for grants are available.

We have a meeting on Tuesday 26th November. If you have a community issue, you would like raised, please let us know.

When out snapping some photies yesterday I was approached by Donnie and had a nice long chat with him. He's a Stornoway native but grew up in the east end and he's lived quite the life. This is his cafe on McFarlane St. Pop in for a roll n sausage and tell him I sent you.

Can I politely ask that all members if possible could attend , and if you have any issues regarding your papers to contact either myself ( Diane McCallum ) vice chairperson : Or our chairman John Graham . Or even a private messsge on our page as we currently have 3 admins .

Its important to the board to keep the community involved and updated on our ongoing activities, and we anticipate a few changes in our constitution this year 😀

It has however come to our attention that some of our members have either not received papers or confirmed their attendance and choice of food. Can we urge you all to one way or another let us know if either applies to you .

Our Annual AGM meeting is scheduled for 6:30pm on Thursday August 22nd in the calton Heritage centre To which all members are invited to attend ! As a member you should have already received your papers, and if possible confirmed your choice of chippie😀
