I like to use films as mentor texts for book clubs and I need a movie that’s appropriate for 7/8 students that discusses or highlights topics of empathy, resilience, optimism, gratitude, hope.. I used to watch Wonder but it seems a little juvenile and they’ve all seen it.

@craignorriscbc Hahahahahahaha, no. My classroom was over 30C with high humidity at 10am TODAY. My 6year old who came to help started to get heat exhaustion at 11am. I teach band. I have tens of thousands of $$ of instruments in a sauna. Can’t wait to add sweaty teens.

Curiosity & work-related question: Do all of the schools in Waterloo Region, Guelph, Wellington County have air conditioning? I’m guessing they do.
