Sacking Liam Rosenior needed to happen but it’s just like shooting a zombie in the foot. The doom is still coming, you just delayed it for a very short while.

Illinois outplayed Iowa over the final eight minutes to win tonight, no doubt, but the one-sided (and atrociously bad) officiating that went against Iowa in the first half and throughout the early part of the second half kept this game close. That’s what’s most frustrating.

Being really harsh, we’ve wasted about £694m of the money spent. This doesn’t include KDH who did a decent job for us. It does include Wes. Includes Garnacho but I still think there’s a player there. Best in class SDs you know. £700m wasted. No one wastes money like them.

@conservmillen Interesting bc I was thinking… I haven’t seen a single video of ICE doing their job RIGHT which I’d expect their supporters to be posting like crazy to show the “good” they do. Maybe they just… don’t do that.

The things I and many simultaneously believe to be true: - I wish Renee Good and Alex Pretti were still alive. They were people made in God’s image whose lives had value, and their deaths are tragic - I still am unclear about the true story surrounding Pretti’s killing - I am not sure DHS messaging on Pretti’s death has been completely accurate or helpful - The chaos that led to their deaths is in large part due to local law enforcement refusing keep the public from impeding ICE and local politicians stoking the flames by calling ICE “Gestapo” - ICE and border patrol agents, by and large, do a good, compassionate job that is very difficult. Like any group - teachers, pastors, social workers, etc - there will be those who are corrupt or bad at their jobs, and it’s ok to acknowledge that if apparent - ICE’s job is necessary and good. Removing illegal aliens, including those who have committed heinous crimes against American children, should be able to be done without conflict. This is normal business that has been conducted in similar ways under both R and D administrations. The chaos is not caused by Trump. It is caused by those who hate Trump - America, like every country, has the right and responsibility to defend its borders, protect citizenship, and enforce immigration law. This is necessary for national sovereignty. This is not “kidnapping,” and it’s not just violent criminals who need to be deported. - Lots of overlap between those decrying ICE and those who: never said a word about immigration enforcement under Biden & Obama, have never expressed concern about the lives lost because of illegal immigration, support abortion, or accused Charlie Kirk of racism in the days following his murder. I am 100% uninterested in what these people have to say about morality or justice.

An important difference between this Bears brass and previous groups: This group is actually aware of and prove - via communication with reporters/public - that they know of the specific problems that we all notice (pass-catching, edge rush, Brisker, etc.). I love it.

@GovTimWalz Tim, I'm a Republican and critic of yours. That said, I liked this statement... ...until I got to the last line ("that's what he wants"). With this line, you are turning the temperature up. You are making big assumptions, activating your base, and actually discouraging peace.
