Re: safety in the 2nd round — I understand the desire from some Eagles fans to want an answer for that position. I would have been surprised if the Eagles spent a 1st/2nd-round pick on a DB for the 4th time in 3 years. That would have meant 4 of their 6 picks during that period were in the secondary. I expected this draft to focus on OL/pass catcher/edge rusher early (and was pretty clear about that in my pre-draft coverage). So far, the Eagles drafted WR, TE, OT and traded 2 picks and paid $25M/year to an edge rusher.

No. 54 pick is in: #Eagles have selected Vanderbilt TE Eli Stowers, per sources.

Former Eagles OL Brett Toth has agreed to terms with the 49ers on a 1-year deal, per a league source.

A notable change: Broncos HC Sean Payton said OC Davis Webb will be Denver’s play caller this season.

The Dolphins interviewed Eagles defensive line coach Clint Hurtt for their defensive coordinator opening, per sources. Hurtt, a former Miami Hurricanes defensive tackle, coordinated Seattle’s defense from 2022-23 before joining Philly’s staff.

Howie Roseman says Nick Sirianni is elite at being a Head Coach, holding people accountable, focusing on fundamentals, building a connection with players.

@RealMamaEagle Organize team meetings, the schedules, how long is practice, what are they going to practice, team speeches, overseeing all the position coaches and coordinators. I could write multiple paragraphs of other stuff he has to do. People think he’s just sitting on his ass all day smh

The “what does Sirianni do” shit is so recycled. You either understand what a CEO coach does or you don’t. Everyone is just regurgitating the same shit.
