I think short of a targeted strike, the next Iranian leader is going to be Mojtaba Khamenei and the announcement should be imminent. Reason is simple, the people in control (IRGC) are pushing for his nomination and after yesterday drama about the president half apologizing for targeting gulf states and IRGC claiming otherwise, they need to show unity.
