Animal volunteers from the Wild Animals Rescue Center evacuated Bayk from within the 5-kilometer zone of the Russian border. In addition to numerous physical health issues, Bayk was diagnosed with severe post-traumatic stress disorder caused by constant attacks. Recently, Bayk’s condition took a sharp turn for the worse: upon hearing the sound of a plane in the sky, he cowered in the corner of his enclosure and trembled until evening. "While physical health issues can eventually be resolved, mental health struggles often require years of recovery...
