@AbneyDude You said that ultra settings use a lot more VRAM, how did you determine that? Are you referring to the actual usage shown with -fps 3, or only to the allocated amount? HWInfo shows 92–95% allocated, but in-game, using -fps 3, I only see about 6–7 GB actually used out of my 12 GB

So apparently Ultra uses a LOT more vram, so be sure to test performance before you stick with this option. It visually looks like High used to, but it's actually more demanding. And definitely keep 'Lower Texture Mode on Streets' active, bc I got 60 fps on Streets with a 5090/14900k with it off, it was chugging bad. Avg. of 100 with it active though. If only there was some way to know how these options actually changed with the patch... 🙃

Hwinfo shows me 92-95% allocated, but in-game with -fps 3-, only 6-7 GB of VRAM is used out of my 12 GB of VRAM. That's at 1440p and ultra textures. I don't have any stuttering.

@AbneyDude @keningeradam And to be clear, it is still a CPU bottleneck even though your CPU doesn't hit 100%. Lots of games typically do not utilize a ton of threads, and on dual CCD chips like the 9950x3d, you want it to only use the first CCD (aka first 8 cores) that have your 3d V-cache. (2/2)

If you noticed your Tarkov graphics look worse this wipe, it's probably because they added a new 'Ultra' texture Quality (Which I think is just the old 'High') I actually think they just added a new 'Low' and moved everything up a notch: Ultra -> Old High High -> Old Med Med -> Old Low Low (New)
