@kozirovsky89718 @kangminlee Ultimately it is a tale of people failed by our systems. Financial, social, mental healthcare etc. The ones doing crime in the end are the ones slipping through the gaps of society unseen. Has nothing to do with being trans really. Stats don't even back that either.

@kangminlee The thing is transgender is illness and until we treat it as mental illness this thing will continue happening.instead of offering them hormones and surgery right the way , they need a good psychiatrist evaluation.

@kozirovsky89718 @kangminlee The issue is ultimately EVERYONE trans or not is in need of a good therapist. But we just drop people's care and tell them to "man up" until those mental issues pile up. It's why men commit so much crime too. It is men & women in bad mental health that do this stuff.

@kozirovsky89718 @kangminlee how would that psych evaluation look? Because we tried that it was called conversion therapy and it did not work and instead causes issue. Hormones and such is treatment as the psych approach doesn't help. A good transition is guided by a therapist tho..

@Sekundeez @Coinvo That is true, LI is the standard there. But I think the reason for bringing back the firing squad might be due to the problems with LI, whereas firing squads are simple and straight-forward

@pixelprayer @Coinvo An argument against it: if this ends up in a death penalty anyway: you end up with the victim killed. Also this abuse happens to run in families. If its a death penalty the abusers get ratted out less as they don't want a family member to die. It may make the issue worse.

@SelfSuccessSaga @Coinvo To be entirely fair the bill was made initially as there was a shortage in lethal injections in idaho. Death penalty is already a thing there, just rare But yeah: we should not be given states such power.

that law is extreme but it shows how far outrage has gone people are fed up and want consequences that actually feel real governments start pushing harsher penalties when trust in systems breaks down i’m not surprised this is happening given how emotional this issue gets when justice feels weak, policy always swings harder sooner or later

@Average_fan47 @riskmaxxing @Coinvo Add to that: too many innocents get incarcerated and killed whenever death penalty was a thing: and you want to keep it locked away because: you do NOT want a state to have that power. As it leads to abuse of said power.

@riskmaxxing @Coinvo Cause it’s not really an effective deterrent, it can incentivize predators to kill their victims since it carries the same punishment and it could cause families to not report abuse since it would lead to a family member dying

Ones that don't want it because too many false calls and innocent people dying...lastly you dont want to give state that power.. because abuse happens

Keeping rly bad people alive and suffering in prison (for life) to them is better than just having it end with death..as death is a mercy.

@WorldviewCap @aviationbrk Machines and AI aid in automating and course correcting. ATC already uses all of these tools to smoothen the workflow. It cannot reasonably be fully automated though. Just how spaceflight cannot, theres a reason whole mission rooms cheer and clap. Their careful math worked out.

@WorldviewCap @aviationbrk maneuvers of the ISS are still mostly human input. Machines warn and automate tho. for flying there: that's not just blindly done with machines. It's lots of people looking over data for each mission. Each launch is a project. ATC doesn't have luxury of long planning.
