CASSIDY UPDATE: Had a call from her nutritionist and recommended we should be seen today at hospital. Seems too exhausted to eat and she’s not gaining weight appropriately. She’s only had one full feeding today and she lost her color this morning. Thank you for praying. 🙏🏼

So meds have been working really well on Alex all night until the last hour when pain from baby’s head on her tailbone has been flaring up again. Good news is that she’s 4-5cm dilated now! 👍🏼

Y’all, I’m obviously partial and completely smitten...but the strength of Alex is super hero status. Her love for baby girl is so deep, she sacrificed her body & pain tolerances to a degree that I had to step in and say, “enough is enough.” This mother’s love is fierce.

The thing about life is that there will always be changes and disappointments you didn’t expect. We aren't dilated enough to stay for delivery. Alex is crushed but doesn’t want to be induced right now. Heading home so we can sleep for the first time in 2 days of labor. 🙏🏼

We back are in the comfort of our home with contractions still between 6-8 minutes apart all day. Baby’s head 80% effaced and in a perfect downward facing position. Now working on keeping Alex comfortable as she dilates more.
