It only needs a few crazy ones to fix a continent… Let's be crazy… I got something to announce: We're launching PROTOTYPE: a new fund, fully focused on Europe. A small fund that punches way above it's size. With it we back what Europe is world-class at: robotics, automation, manufacturing, and anything that requires hard engineering. First check. First round. As early as it gets. Europe invented industry. We're the birthplace of precision manufacturing. The second largest manufacturing hub on the planet. Leaders in automation and robotics. And yet… We sell out our best tech to China. We export our best founders & most of our investment money to the US. That's insanity. What should we do instead? Build the next trillion euro companies in robotics, manufacturing, automation right here: in Europe. Showcase to young founders what is possible and change the system around them where needed. What we will do: → Publish all our fund updates and build in public: updates.prototypecap.com → Showcase Europe’s Most Ambitious Startups on Youtube: @prototypecap" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@prototypecap → Launch & support more projects like @euinc_petition. Enough talking about Europe. Time to build it: Startups, makerspaces, student clubs, and much more. → And most importantly, invest into the best founders in Europe. Same model as our previous funds that are in their top 1-5% cohorts worldwide. We won’t do a VC fund in the classic sense. This will be a community of hyper-ambitious people who want to actively change Europe for the better. It only needs a few crazy ones to fix a continent… Let's be crazy. Check out prototypecap.com!

Turns out Zelenskyy has so many cards, he can open a shop.
Shanaka Anslem Perera ⚡@shanaka86

BREAKING: Zelensky just landed in the UAE and signed a defence cooperation agreement with President MBZ. The deal on the table changes everything about this war. Ukraine is offering Gulf states 1,000 drone interceptors per day. Each Sting interceptor costs $2,100. Each Patriot missile it replaces costs $3.9 million. In exchange, Ukraine wants the Patriot missiles the Gulf states are burning through, because Kyiv cannot get enough of them to stop Russian missiles. Read that again. The country America refused to arm fast enough is now arming America’s allies with a weapon that costs 1,857 times less than the one America cannot produce fast enough. The National reported on March 27 that Zelensky told reporters: “We’d like to quietly receive the Patriot missiles we have a deficit of, and give them a corresponding number of interceptors.” AFP confirmed the UAE agreement on March 28. Eleven countries have formally requested Ukraine’s drone defence expertise per Zelensky’s own count. Over 200 Ukrainian military specialists are already deployed across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Jordan. Here is the arithmetic that should terrify every Pentagon procurement officer on earth. The United States fired 943 Patriot interceptors in the first four days of the Iran war per a US Congressional study cited by the Jerusalem Post. That is eighteen months of Lockheed Martin’s annual production consumed in 96 hours. Each of those 943 shots cost $3.9 million. Total expenditure: $3.68 billion in four days on defensive interceptions alone. Iran produces 10,000 Shahed drones per month per Reuters. Each drone costs $20,000 to $50,000. The cost exchange ratio is 114 to 1 in Iran’s favour per Military Times. Ukraine’s Sting interceptor inverts this arithmetic entirely. At $2,100, the cost ratio flips from 114-to-1 against America to roughly 10-to-1 against Iran. Ukraine can supply 1,000 per day. That is 30,000 per month against Iran’s 10,000 Shaheds per month. For the first time in this war, the defender’s production rate exceeds the attacker’s production rate at a fraction of the cost. And the country that built this weapon is the same country that Trump publicly rejected. “No, they are not helping. We do not need their help. We know more about drones than anyone else” per Fox News. He doubled down: “The last person we need help from is Zelensky.” Meanwhile the Pentagon notified Congress of plans to redirect $750 million in Ukraine-bound Patriot missiles to Gulf states per House of Saud reporting. America is simultaneously refusing Ukraine’s cheap solution and cannibalising Ukraine’s expensive one. Zelensky framed this explicitly. He told The National: “No matter how many Patriots, THAADs, or other air-defence systems are in the Middle East, that alone is not enough for fully effective air defence.” He told the UK Parliament: “When it comes to shooting down massive Shahed attacks, only Ukrainian experience can really help with this today.” The Pentagon is spending $3.9 million per interception, raiding Swiss fighter jet accounts to cover shortfalls, and diverting Ukraine’s own Patriot supply to the Gulf. Zelensky is offering the same result for $2,100 and producing 1,000 units per day. The market has a word for this kind of disruption. The $2,100 drone is the most important weapon in this war. And the country that built it is the one America said it did not need. Full analysis - open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

I think people misunderstand Trump. He doesn't want to expand the US. He wants colonies. And my prediction is that in less than 12 months it's "OK" to say it publicly. They might use a more modern term instead of colonies. Why do i believe this? Eg Venezuela – whoever is in power, doesnt matter, as long as the Oil goes through American companies and them money is spend on American companies. They will keep whoever can flow the oil in power. Otherwise they would already talk about elections. Eg Greenland – this will be an economic trading path like the Malacca Strait. Not to speak of local (or shore/sea) resources. At the moment he talks about Security in context of Greenland, but he talked about Drugs regarding Venezuela before. Assume he's lying or he thinks of trade guarantees as security (see Panama). Why? There is a non-zero chance that the USD isn't a reserve currency anymore in 10 years. Esp given current policies, but even without thanks to BRICS and EURO. What then? Their whole government debt lives of the fact that they are the world's currency for trade and the most hyped-up stock market. What's the world afterwards? They won't be able to rebuild manufacturing quick enough and they don't know how to do policy to get there (see default tarifs) One answer could be resource extraction and trade control over vassals and (all but in name) colonies. "It's not about colonies its about trade" – colonies were primarily for trade. Get cheap local resources, sell complex products. Ensure you control trading companies and destroy all local competition to them. (see eg EIC in India, or most of Europe in Africa, or US in Philippines) And of course you also want it as military staging ground – that's how you project control into that region and its neighbors.

Weird realization. We will have AI video slop in the next 6 months on normal TV channels. They have lower and lower viewer numbers. They cant really play only reruns. They cant also produce new stuff. So its a race to the bottom, with your grandparents watching AI soaps.

You're right. And nobody will care about this bullshit eithe since its coming out of the EU. You can claim whatever you want but you are nothing and will be nothing except for a Chinese shill. It's clear you are just a propaganda account without any real news or viewpoint. Good luck with that.

A student in Zurich sleeps in a camper van outside a hangar every night. Just to have more hours to build a humanoid robot. He’s obsessive. He's not alone. 2,500 students across Europe are getting into robotics right now. And now they united and just launched: ESRA, the European Student Robotics Association. 🇪🇺🦾 They are bringing together highly talented young people, give them space, give them resources and let them build. By now already 13 robotics clubs. 8 countries. 2,500+ students. I visited several of them over the last weeks to get to know them and let them tell their stories. We've also been helping behind the scenes where we can, because this is exactly what Europe needs. Several multiple billion dollar companies will come out of the ESRA network. Right here in Europe. If the Bay Area had a student robotics network like this, they would never shut up about it. Time we do the same. 😤🔥🇪🇺 It only needs a few crazy ones to fix a continent. Turns out they're already building. 🇪🇺

That isn't what is happening here. A majority of drone and robot tech came out of american companies. Japan close second. China does not lead anything nor do they have an environment for design. Europe as a continent has lagged in everything expect for chips. But all of this is about the video you posted so I dont know why you are trying to talk about something else. And on a final point because all of this doesn't matter anyways. You are talking about ESRA and anything that takes away the identity and tech edge of an individual nation so it can be accredited to the EU is not going to survive. The EU is not one government and most of countries in the next 10-20 years will start to heavily move towards ending it. Which kills the ESRA. I want cool things to come out of Europe but not as a Europe product. Germany, Norway, France, Finland all had tech that they could be proud of. What happens in the future under ESRA? Does Spain get access and credit for what german students build?

i am not adament about european lead tech i am trying to explain to you that unitree isnt american even if you got similar companies and tech or they base some tech on US tech this discussion is even worse then me explaining to europeans that american deeptech isnt european b/c they use german cnc or asian cars not being german b/c they use german casting or machinery

Lol even you know its true or you wouldn't be adamant about a European lead tech. I agree with you BTW that Europe does need to do more to promote and protect its tech field. My point is if you're going to brag or promote the group then show Europe lead tech and not stuff that others nations have already launch while you chase them.

@andreasklinger @vlad_rdx Why would I compensate. Boston robotics has been putting out videos for over a decade with much more advanced robots and suddenly china and the eu put out some that are clearly knockoff but sure "its your idea"

@andreasklinger If helpful, I’d be happy to donate a few k to the 'Vienna Robotics Club', no questions asked. No need for updates, as long as you’re confident it’ll be used sensibly. Ströck could also sponsor baked goods for events etc. Thank you.
