I know Kos is speaking in terms of messaging, or how this is interpreted, at least I hope he is. Otherwise, he fundamentally misunderstands productivity. Productivity is not working harder or working longer hours. It is the net gain from the hours you do work, combined with the added capital that comes from investment. But the sense I get is that, rather than seeing this as something that needs to be explained to the public for their own benefit, he sees it as a political opportunity to exploit.
