@Karl_McDermott @Fineturf Karl, do you steam any of the hybrid pitches? It may be polymer dependent, but I've heard of yarn shrinkage with steaming due to the heat. Interested to know if you may have experienced this or not on any of the hybrids.

@BIGbezz76 @ProPitch_ Pitches will be raked/brushed several times a week in a professional environment. It will depend on usage and inputs, but adding a brush/rake against the mowing pattern once a week will be very beneficial. Frequency can start to reduce in the colder months when recovery lessens

@Gjm19Mills If the yellow plate on the back opens, you will likely see the part the noise is coming from, try following the wire from it and there may well be a connector clip that you can disconnect. The same kind of plug would have under the tractor seat for safety switch.

@golfcoursemana1 @TrumpTurnberry Have you tank mixed with Iron or other nutrition for the colour response, or is that purely from the Primo? I've seen previous trials with solely Primo which noted a significantly darker sward colour, albeit in Lolium.

Earlier than normal app of primo followed ten days later with attraxor has changed the game for us. Zero disruption to ball roll from poa seedheads. Considering we are only 177GDD & yet to have one single day with GP over 0.5 we are happy. Good season ahead @TrumpTurnberry

@AndrewCulbert3 I understand what your saying, I was in pro football as a apprentice and it’s helped me get to where I am today. I just wish employers paid the right amount. Especially if it’s at an elite football club, they’ll happily pay there wages to one player per week.

@alexhudson97 I do agree however that wages should be higher in general, but knowing the site I do believe this is actually a very good opportunity for a younger person within the industry.

@alexhudson97 It's a difficult one. For a younger local person they've an opportunity to earn a little more money but also carry the title. In 2 years time their CV will say 'Head' managing pitches for elite clubs, allowing them to progress in the industry to another head job x2 their wage

@alexhudson97 It also offers people's very limited weekend working and little overtime which is uncommon in this industry. I'm not the one who sets the salaries, but this role is much better than others in the area in terms of work load and work life balance.

@alexhudson97 If you were to read the post or were more familiar with the site's employment structure you would realise that the duties of this 'Head Groundsperson' is much reduced over other similar roles. This gives grounds staff at surrounding clubs who currently earn 26-28k progression.
