Is the amount of joy I get from channeling Summon:Bahamut into play worth the amount of shame I feel every time I get thoughtseized and have to reveal I put Bahamut in my deck?
As an uncle I’m a big advocate for getting Xmas presents that kids will like and parents will hate. Have high hopes that the theremin I bought my niece will be my best gift yet.
Came pretty close to posting a youtube video about this deck I've been working on in standard. It's good, but maybe not a good choice if the field half UR decks like at Worlds.
@MSigrist83 I like green to an extent because it's always underdrafted. The problem is the mana elves, it's a bunch of the other cards like Rofellos, Rec Sage, Ulvenwald Oddity, Pick your Poison, Outland Liberator. Always unhappy if any of that stuff makes my deck.
Time for a tough convo, but Llanowar Elves needs to be removed from Power Cube. It's time. Green is just way too bad and makes the drafts less interesting. My idea is take most of the Mono Green stuff out, and have Green's color identity be almost strictly Gold cards.
I think WotC needs to go big with this upcoming banning if they want to save std. Just a card or cards being banned won't work. Maybe ban all damage so all games come down to decking. Or fix the play/draw adv problem by making both players take their first turn simultaneously.
@lsv@Ajelenbogen While I get that lots of people don't like the Alchemy cards, I'm going to miss them. Alchemy has some of the best (and worst) card designs in recent years.
@Ajelenbogen It rang true to me - their decisions on what to include, and more importantly what not (super powerful alchemy cards) all seemed like good ones to me. It was the vintage cube, just on arena, which is what I want.
I was a bit pessimistic about the Arena Vintage Cube, but the recent videos on the topic have given me a lot of hope for the experience. Authenticity is so important for these things and it seems like the arena team did a pretty good job.
Watching the PT Top 8. @haumph and @Marshall_LR doing a good job with commentary, but constantly mispronouncing Falafel Archaeologist. It's pretty rough.
