@KatelynJButler The NSF/USDA REU program @BTIscience is more plant genomics focused, but our “admissions” committee very much selects for applicants from smaller universities/colleges without research opportunities. We also have ~40 spots available every year, so maybe greater chances?

Wow. By optimizing the reference transcriptome for scRNA-seq, they were able to identify over 4,500 additional genes and more than 20% extra sequencing reads in human PBMCs. Anyone wants to try this in Arabidopsis?? nature.com/articles/s4159…
