@jeffborzello @BannersParkway Exactly. Shouldn't go down that road again. I am concerned that Fabregas, Xabi Alonso, or anyone else good won't be interested at this point given the mess. After all these disastrous manager appointments, we need a new Sporting Director, and that needs to happen yesterday.

@AndrewJ1231 @BannersParkway I like Iraola and his out-of-possession stuff and it’s really impressive what he’s done this season, but he’s never won anything and never finishing better than ninth in any of his previous four top-flight seasons (we’ll see about this year) gives me Potter and Rosenior PTSD

@jeffborzello @BannersParkway I agree on Iraola. He's done well at Bournemouth but we need someone with real credibility who everyone gets behind. For me, it's either Fabregas or Xabi Alonso, assuming either would actually be willing to work for this ownership group.

Prefer someone who has been at the top of the sport as a coach (or a player), someone with some gravitas to walk into the dressing room. Unrealistic: Simeone, Tuchel, likely Nagelsmann. Cesc or Xabi Alonso next on the list for me.
