@ManuelaXibanya Britisher here! You'll still hear 'aye' in RP accents in places like parliament, where they still vote using 'aye' or 'no'. Bard wise, I'd look to the character. The Dukes of Suffolk and York may use the same 'courtly language', but different accents make the world feel larger!

Question for the Britishes and geographically adjacent folk: in Shakespeare’s King Lear, the king and other peers are constantly affirming statements with “aye”, which I understand to be nonstandard in modern fancy Britishese. Would you play these characters with RP or what?

@jodyjsperling Yes I did. Not a big part but I think it comes through in the audio drama better thanks to voice actor @AndrewJOakes who played Seth's father. It's a good scene and Andrew captured the performance perfectly between Seth and his father.
