Either Colby Donovan or Matthew Anderson should have been in the senior team instead of Ralston. Robbie Ure or Barney Stewart should have been in over Findlay Curtis (different position but pointless having 1 winger in the squad anyway)

This would’ve been a good opportunity to try out a few different options and try to identify potential inclusions for the World Cup. If Grant Hanley starts a game in the US this summer I’m officially switching nationality

A lot of “both sides have embarrassed Scottish football” comments going around from some key figures online. No fans should be on the pitch, but one set of fans were dancing and taking selfies in their own end and one set of fans charged the length of the pitch for violence.

Not a single substitution Celtic have made, has improved the team. All of them have made us worse. Dane Murray done a serviceable job at filling in at the back. Forrest hasn’t really done anything wrong, but not much right either. Mvuka and Čvančara have been awful.

@BumperGraham I don’t think, unfortunately, there is a “better” alternative to transfermarkt. But active users will only tolerate a product that performs poorly for so long before they drift elsewhere or someone else does it as good or better eventually

@BumperGraham Apologies. I get you. FBref tends to be the main alternative I drift towards. Sofascore is the only other I know of that gives a good amount of data

Transfermarkt getting dangerously close to looking like a tabloid newspaper with the amount of invasive pop-up ads they’re running on the website nowadays. Barely even useable anymore.

Celtic could do a lot worse than bringing Triantis back to Scotland in the summer. A completely different profile of player to sit in front of the back 4. We haven’t had a proper holding midfielder arguably since Nir Bitton was at his peak
Joseph Lowery@joeclowery

Nectarios Triantis is the best player in MLS that no one outside of Minnesota seems to talk about 🇬🇷 The 22-year-old center-mid bossed the Loons' frigid win over Cincy. There isn’t an MLS player in their 20s that I’m more certain will end up in the Premier League than Triantis.

“Not Another Penny” - Unless it’s for champagne and steak in a hospitality box. - Unless it’s to pay legal fees for disruptive trouble-makers. - or “fuck up” cause you are owed nothing. - Unless it’s for a £5,000 lifetime membership which has suspiciously disappeared.

If Kasper Schmichael continues to start for Celtic, serious serious questions need to be asked of Martin O’Neil and the coaching team. It’s becoming a complete embarrassment.

In contrast to Hatate, I think Bernardo has been a little hard done by. Not given opportunities when he should have, then sharpness and confidence etc falls off. Even here, he’s still talking very positively about the club and his position. Not moaning or complaining
Celtic FC News Room@cfcnewsroom

Out-of-favour Celtic star Paulo Bernardo has opened up on what has been a 'complicated season' for his own career so far. After signing permanently for the club from Benfica in 2024, the midfielder has found regular game time hard to come by, not helped by competition and injuries. Despite being named on the bench more often than not, the 24-year-old has been an unused substitute during many matches, with Martin O'Neill opting to go for the likes of Reo Hatate, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, or Luke McCowan instead. Now, in a new interview with Portuguese outlet Sapo, Bernardo has reflected on his current situation in Scotland. "We’re coming off three wins, we’re in a good period, they were hard-fought victories, but they’re three points, and that always gives the group confidence," he said. “We’re in a good moment to face Stuttgart. German teams are quite competitive; they run a lot, so the game won’t be easy, and we play the first leg at home, so that might give us a bit of an advantage. “We struggled for half the season, but we’re managing to get back into the rhythm. Things have been going well, and I think we’re giving a good response after that more negative period. “It’s been a somewhat complicated season, but I’ve been trying my best to fight for my place and do what I’ve done in recent seasons.” On a potential move back to his homeland in the future, Bernardo continued, "I love Portugal; for me, living in Portugal is a privilege, so it could happen. “I don’t know what will happen, but I see it in a positive light, and I’m not closing any doors.”
