@AndrewOMullen @poddtadre the film has a wintertime setting, a sequence involving a Christmas festival, a song about Christmas trees and there's even a scene about giving people gifts (okay its Blofeld giving them stuff to aid in destroying agriculture but still) and, maybe unrelated, a love story

I think this "Christmas movie" vs "movie that happens to be set around Christmas" distinction is meaningless. Screenwriters don't just do that for no reason, it's always a thematically important decision to set a movie on Christmas. They're all Christmas movies.

Watched DIE HARD last night and Macaulay Culkin is hating, this is obviously a Christmas movie. There’s character singing Christmas songs, there’s a fake uprising at a Christmas party, the “ho-ho-ho” bit. Everything about this movie has to do with the fact that it is Christmas.
