Ban noisy kids on holiday. @Jan_Leeming has a piece about this in today's Daily Mail. She suggests it's down to manners and being taught to have respect for other people. And I agree with her. Too many meals out, too many flights spoilt by unruly children whose parents are unaware or just don't care about the effect their children's bad behaviour has on those around them. Many people would gladly pay extra for child free flights and it's time airlines offered this option.

When I pay £5 to sit in Costa for a bit if peace for half an hour with a coffee, I don't expect the place to be used as a creche by screaming kids. Should there be a minimum age for kids to be allowed into coffee chains? I'd suggest 5, and that's being generous..

Paid £8.40 for two coffees in Richmond this morning. Money doesn’t go very far in the Uk. Spain that would be €4.50 for two and be considerably better coffee
