If the PM wants to give more help to Ukraine and boost UK defence exports he should offer a UK loan to buy the weapons Ukraine want from UK companies. Joining an EU scheme will cost us more and will do less good. How much will he pay the EU? How many orders will the UK get?

The government has wanted to make us ever more reliant on imports of energy and energy intensive goods. This has left us very exposed to foreign countries disrupting trade or refusing to supply. We urgently need policies to make, extract and grow more at home.

Have I missed something as I don’t remember being asked if we want closer ties with the EU. Has anyone else not been asked? It appears that Keir Starmer has a free reign & does whatever he wants & no questions are asked. This feels more like a dictatorship.

The government’s growth policy wrongly relies on more trade with the EU whilst banning and crippling some of our past biggest exports to them. Oil, gas, refined oil products, petrol and diesel cars have been leading exports. These are now being banned or taxed to closure.

Those who want an EU re set need to answer why EU growth and EU GDP per head is lower than the UK and why the US is so much higher. Why align with the losers? Why not copy the cheap energy, lower tax policies of the US, not the high tax and dear energy of the EU?

What a contrast. The King gets the removal of US tariffs on whisky. The government puts a high tariff on US steel. The King helps rebuild the US relationship. The government annoys the US with its poor management of defence and wish to give away Diego Garcia.

Out campaigning in Hockley today with the Reform lorry, and something deeply concerning happened on Buckingham Road. A teacher standing with a group of school children actively encouraged them to boo and give thumbs down to our vehicle. Whatever your political views, children should not be used to push political bias or be influenced in this way by those in positions of trust. Our schools should be places of education, critical thinking, and respect — not political indoctrination. Quite frankly, this sort of behaviour is deeply inappropriate and raises serious questions about neutrality within our education system. Parents deserve to know what is happening, and children should be allowed to form their own opinions free from political influence. #Hockley #Education #PoliticalNeutrality #ParentsMatter #ReformUK #Essex #LocalElections

Who could possibly have foreseen that weekly marches calling for the elimination of the Jewish homeland would lead to a rise in attacks on Jews? @SuellaBraverman called them “hate marches” and she was sacked from the Tory Cabinet. Is it ok to say “hate” yet?

Words are cheap, it’s actions that count. I’m sick to death of certain politicians being shocked & horrified (again) then allowing weekly vile marches

The government should see it was imposing hated taxes/tariffs on the American colonies that led to war and US independence. High taxes always do damage. Today too many businesses are cutting back jobs and investment as tax is too high.

So Labour have once again voted party before country. These morons deserve to be annihilated at the May elections. This country definitely needs a government that puts the country first & that’s not Labour.

You’re the energy secretary. Yet you don’t seem to know that BP’s ‘excess profits’ come from its global oil trading division, which is not subject to UK ‘excess profits’ windfall tax, not from its North Sea activities, which are. Remarkable.
Ed Miliband@Ed_Miliband

It would be completely wrong for a Government to stand by and allow companies to make excess profits from a war. That’s why we’re taxing these windfall profits to help with the cost of living. And why the Tories, Reform and the SNP are utterly wrong to oppose the windfall tax.

The UK needs independent defence and prosperity policies. Aligning with the EU will lock us into slow growth and a losing strategy. Relying on the US for defence forgets we stood alone in 1939 and had to liberate the Falklands ourselves. We need UK policies for our success.

For what it is worth , my vote for Pompey Player of the Year would be Regan Poole. His consistency , heroic blocks, character and fight embodied the spirit that kept the club in The Championship against the odds , if truth be told. Marlon Pack and Terry Devlin 2nd and 3rd.
