You may also want to consider using Cryptomator (cryptomator.org) to privately encrypt your data before uploading/syncing it with whatever cloud storage service you use (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, etc.).

If you have an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc.), you should turn on Advanced Data Protection for iCloud to encrypt your data with private end-to-end encryption. (But see previous post about the UK's order.) support.apple.com/en-us/108756
