But at least a suspension in MLS does not apply to the Open Cup.
So Olwethu Makhanya will miss the Sept. 13 game at Vancouver, and the Sept. 20 home game vs. New England.
But he will be eligible for the Sept. 16 Open Cup semifinal at Nashville in between.
