For things like this, it is rather easy to determine who has been cheating the whole time. And they're caught out regardless. But the point of the education system should not be to facilitate cheating/laziness before punishing at the end. Build a system that facilitates virtue.

@JustinWolfers Two *coherent* positions on AI. My favourite non-coherent one is that AI is totally useless, yet is going to replace us all.

There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI. 1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks. 2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational. Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.
