"If Shai Gilgeous-Alexander somehow gets 2-3 rings, we're going to talk about him like we talked about Joe Montana....There has never been a single, solitary moment that I have watched him and thought I was watching one of the greatest players of all-time." – @bomani_jones 👀👀

@NickyPerkss One of my favorite championship teams in the Saban era, along with 2015. This team viciously mauled opponents with the offensive line and the two big backs. Just enough of AJ and Cooper in the passing game. Went 2-1 against good QBs the 2012 season.

@NBA__Courtside Nick Wright… Jordan stayed in one spot and won 6 titles in 13 or 14 years… while walking away from the game in his prime. Lebron can be the GOAT for the newer crowd, but he is still chasing MJ after 21 years of team hopping and cherry picking players to play with

Nick Wright on the lack of relationship between Michael Jordan and LeBron James: “Just my speculation here. I think that Jordan became less and less comfortable with LeBron’s place in the basketball ecosystem as LeBron started getting closer and closer and closer to becoming the people’s choice for greatest player ever. I always felt one of the reasons Jordan embraced Kobe was not only did Kobe model his entire game and at times his persona after Jordan, it was very clear relatively early that Kobe was never going to, like Kobe’s ceiling in the eyes of the majority was going to be second to Jordan. And so Jordan felt comfortable putting his arms around him. There was no threatening of his stature. And it’s not lost on anyone that people had been trying to make the last dance forever. That footage had been around forever and Jordan did not okay it until two days after the 3-1 comeback against the Warriors. The story is that it was the day of the Cavs parade that Jordan finally green lit that. So I think there’s always been a little uncomfortableness, but I think it is very interesting that LeBron is saying, “I hope I made him proud.” (Via @WhatsWrightShow)

@AsaaDeeee @Legion__12 Smitty was a dog though. When Waddle went down, he stepped up and that was impressive. Smitty got the resume that will likely never be duplicated in college football history

@AsaaDeeee He certainly was a home run hitter and a difference maker. I wish Bryce had Jamo and Gibbs at Bama their whole career. Those teams would have been electric.

@mohammedwazeequ Many 90’s wrestling fans love to talk about how much more over Austin was than Hogan… can we see what the numbers of the highest rating Monday Night Raw when Austin was raising hell vs any of these numbers that prime Hogan posted?

Hogan vs Andre (Main Event) on 2/5/88 = 33 million. Hogan vs King Kong Bundy (Saturday Night's Main Event) on 11/28/87 = 28 million. Hogan/Savage vs Twin Towers (Main Event II) on 2/2/89 = 23.1 million. Hogan vs Savage (Main Event III) on 2/21/90 = 20.9 million.

@CluthXT @LegionHoops @NewYorker Pippen was regularly torched by Penny, and Grant. And when Kobe came along, Pippen provided little to no resistance. Pippen was out there but he wasn’t stopping everybody from scoring.

@LegionHoops @NewYorker Although Pippen never won DPOY. He not better defensively than Scottie. Scottie could stop anyone from Hakeem to AI. He averaged 2 steals a game for 17 years

@CluthXT @LegionHoops @NewYorker Pippen played the passing lanes beautifully and was more athletic than Draymond. But it’s ok that Draymond is better defensively because Pippen was better offensively. And Pippen couldn’t stop any power forward back then. Barkley did what he wanted against and Malone did too

@yeajordy He wasn’t as dominant as everyone said he was. If he was, he would have been gone in the first round. There was a reason Bama couldn’t run the ball besides the RBs. They didn’t have enough power on the OLine. Proctor got drafted on potential and size more than results.

@MambaArchives Furthermore, Jordan and Pippen didn’t necessarily shut down Penny and Shaq either with the Magic but the Bulls got the sweep. Shaq has been swept way too many times to be as good and dominant as he was. Poor free throw shooter and poorly motivated at times.

@MambaArchives Shaq’s Lakers have been dominated and beaten by the Spurs in in 1999 and 2003, the Jazz in 1998, and the Pistons in 2004. They would provide little resistance to Jordan

@eduran02 @MambaArchives Kobe good. Kobe great actually. Still didn’t meet the Bulls in the playoffs because they couldn’t beat the “old man” Jazz of Stockton and Malone. Playoffs different. I gave you playoff results and you talking about the regular season and Pippen on the Portland Trail Blazers

@SassyAmberHaddy I don’t see it. He was solid at Bama, not spectacular and not a game changer. Bama’s had better WRs than Bernard that have just been “ok” at the next level.
