Finally, the most important clarification is here, you will be able to uninstall the Sanchaar Saathi app from your smartphone. Yes, it’s optional.
Good move, because the intention behind the app is solid (fraud prevention, IMEI tracking, SIM misuse checks), but forcing it on every user without an uninstall option was always going to raise privacy concerns.
India needs stronger digital safety, but it also needs transparency and user choice. Glad this part got fixed.
