@asterisuu I have to think twice about whether or not I actually want to give $6.99 to sub to you

The TLDR on my theory: nobody expected this mistake from McLaren that could’ve costed overthinking from the other teams.
I think it’s quite simple and a bit funny. McLaren are the current CHAMPS for constructor. That doesnt just mean FASTEST CAR, it also means the most points made by a TEAM. A team that won back to back champs. Meaning a team of championship level strategists. So therefore you hardly would expect them to make a mistake like this.
Redbull being the next car behind them, is now facing pressure done by the aura of McLaren. Now you’re redbull lead strategist, you’re watching the leading car not boxing, why? Why wouldnt they? Is there a plan that’s better we aren’t seeing? What are they planning? I think the obvious call is to box but they should know that? And since redbull does the right call because she goes “no its right the right call, idk what McLaren are smoking but it ain’t the good stuff.” (not the direct quote but I think it’s pretty close) the other teams are now also seeing that the redbull running p2 and also MV1 is boxing. It justifies them to trust the call.
It’s an absolute joke that McLaren did this blunder but I also believe they didn’t want to risk a double stack for the 2 drivers that are in a drivers championship battle. If one of them get messed up in the pit because the risk of the double stack, they’ll blame the team for favoring the other driver (also because Max would’ve benefited from the mistake regardless on who it was). Especially being the WDC leader being the 2nd person to be boxed, the one in the most risk of being screwed over. I think it also may be the driver championship pressure looming down onto the team as well, cuz no matter what they do perfect or not MAD MAX is somehow still in this. They most likely believed that if they told the two drivers to push like hell in the clean air, they would be able to build a gap wide enough to recover it.
So pressure from the WDC and stupidity from McLaren

I‘m sorry but what exactly did she do yesterday apart from the obvious?
Literally 8 other teams had the EXACT same strategy as them😭
