It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Hughes was checked out before being traded by the #Canucks but dropping "Honestly, I don’t even really know a lot of their guys," is just in bad taste. Easy layup and somehow threw the ball out of the stadium.

Quinn Hughes embarrassed himself today. His comments made it clear his captaincy was about keeping him, not leading the team. A captain owns the moment…he deflected it. That attitude doesn’t build culture. The team is better off without it.

Hansen on Gillis: He kinda reinvented the whole thing. He brought in so much around the team. The sleep doctors, mind room, sports psychologist and all of these things to try and better the team. You see that now everywhere but he brought that to hockey. (Canucks Talk)
