@Londonblue_2 The fact that they wheel out this guy who clearly suffers from autism or some neurodivergence for click is so wrong.

We went to not losing against the top 6 in almost 20 games in the league to losing 3 times this season. What went wrong ?

@AndyAppleby @slbsn It’s a player putting their head into another player. Laws don’t differentiate as Idrissa Gueye and Everton fans will testify. Or are we moving the goalposts now? No two incidents are ever identical

We don't need to re-write the history of football headbutts. They are always pretty mild movements to the nose with little actual injury (if any). Yet they are always reds. Unless someone can point to one that wasn't given?

@AndyAppleby @slbsn OK - Mings and El Ghazi, since you insist (teammates, but that’s irrelevant). No cards after VAR review

@AndyAppleby @slbsn Across the last ~1,100 PL matches you think there have only been two other comparable incidents?! Doesn’t matter, Taylor deemed the contact negligible - but there’s also no doubt if he’d given a red VAR would have stuck by that too

@HACKETTREF Is it not born giving it and pulling each other? Haaland had been dealing with it all game and the ref had let it play out. He’s done the same here so why would this mean it’s disallowed?

@logical_gooner @slbsn Show me once, just once where a head ‘movement’ like yesterday didn’t end with a red. The lack of them doesn’t mean they’re not given, it means most players can control themselves and not feel the need to headbutt someone.

@AndyAppleby @slbsn You’ll only find 2 in the last 2 seasons that resulted in red cards (Schar, Nunez) which means either they usually don’t, or there have only been 2 in total in the last 3 years (possible but unlikely) I thought he was fortunate yesterday FWIW

@WelBeast So what’s your point? Is it that we shouldn’t have bought or the bottlers should? All we’ve heard is that you have the best squad in the world so surely we shouldn’t have been able to buy anyone better?

Manchester City were out of the title race until they bought their way back in the January transfer window. 😭😭

@mcfc9320group Randomly had that conversation with Gary Lineker once. He seems to think that it’s yours until you can no longer win it. That said, today’s game doesn’t guarantee a league win so it shouldn’t be there.

Disrespectful to Liverpool this. They are still Champions until the last kick of the season regardless of them not retaining it.

Should Gabriel have seen red? Former Premier League referee Graham Scott doesn't think so.. “The Brazil international’s late flourish looked like a potential headbutt on Erling Haaland, but he was stepping away and there was no contact that would have looked like violent conduct to referee Anthony Taylor. “VAR John Brooks would have been aware that his colleague had a good view of the incident and would have had scant evidence to justify recommending an upgrade to red.” FREE TO READ: bit.ly/4mBvHi2

Absolutely ridiculous. Since when did ‘not strong enough headbutts’ get ignored?
Premier League Match Centre@PLMatchCentre

#MCIARS – 83' The referee’s call of no red card was checked and confirmed by VAR – with the action from Gabriel deemed not to be excessively aggressive or violent.
