a long ass 🧵🪡 There's been a lot of talk... maybe, too much talk. so, how does this show @vellumla work? what am I selling? where does it fit into my broader project? how can you have a chance at buying some? why would you want to? this post isn't for the Grotto... they know exactly what's up. in fact... if you're going to try for my Vellum drop, you'll be battling it out with them, as they want it all! So, what am I selling? this is the 3rd generation of my thr33zi3s work. 100 new uniquely hand-painted generative paintings which draw from all 1400 of the paintings I've minted up until today as thr33som3s and thr33zi3s (plus, quadsom3s, val3ntin3s, madn3ss, NiftyGateway, Counterparty, etc... all my minter wallets) so, how is that generative? --- we create a dataset of the traits of the 1400 paintings from before... we take the transactional hash of the blockchain operation that confirms purchase of the piece... we run that hash through an algorithm against the traits dataset.... and, BOOM... I'm given a list of all the traits the new painting will have. then, I set out to paint it. each generation features a new player from the past paintings but with all of the traits designated generatively. so, I put all of that together into something that makes sense aesthetically and figuratively and narratively. and all 100 are painted one by one from the recipe I'm given... then minted and revealed in one big blockbuster 3v3nt. (each of those generative traits, then, has future utility to the broader project and can be burned away to produce or modify some other painting.... meaning, you connect your wallet at a designated time, swap out your existing thr33zi3s for a placeholder, as I go in and REPAINT the original to match whatever alterations you've demanded via blockchain interaction. then, re-mint that piece and deliver it back to your wallet, ready to be used again down the road) (but, that's a WHOLE OTHER PART OF THE STORY... no need to go there yet, as you haven't even figured out how to get them!) so... there are 100 but, 67 have already been claimed/earned/utility delivered to the Grotto. so... there are 33 left. and, those 33 are available from me and Vellum starting today. today, 8/10 8/24 and 8/31.... I will run 3 separate one day auctions with ELEVEN thr33zi3s listed for 24hrs. Minimum bid is $1500usd in eth. price determined at 3:59pm edt today. each auction day will spawn that round's exact opening price in eth. the first 11 auctions close tomorrow, august 11, 24 after starting. they will go to high bidder. then, we do the same with 11 more on 8/24 --- 24hrs then, one final round of 11 on 8/31 so... that's the auction/drop structure. so, what exactly is the Vellum show??? ------------ I have on display all 100 physicals from the 2nd Generation thr33zi3s along with the digital work from the bulk of the 400 paintings that made up their traits. you'll be able to see the physical result of the blockchain dynamics that determined what I would paint from all the work spinning around the room digitally. 11 auctions start today at 7pm edt, 4pm pdt, with a new one going live every 5 minutes. link below.
