John Edrich seems to be another star of English cricket whose legacy isn’t as valued as it should be.
Despite looking 55 for most of his career, he was amongst the best players of his generation, playing 77 Tests, averaging 43.54 and scoring a triple century against NZ in 1965.
Lillee reckoned Edrich one of the hardest men to remove in world cricket.

I always loved Jairzinho. Had chicken pox when I was 7 living in Tenby so was off school for a bit & watched a lot of the 1970 World Cup. One of the best shirts of all time.

Moving gracefully in to the inner sanctum is the silver plated punch bowl won by Ian Botham. Victory over Dennis Lillee in a trotting race in Adelaide 1983.
