It’s a great line from Starmer but Farage is the one still laughing. He’s in the remarkable position of legitimately being able to say he has a better relationship with the US president than the British PM and will be able to say so for sometime, potentially indefinitely. I'd be much more concerned by a politician who hasn't criticised Trump in the past than one who has. The use of this as a gotcha speaks volumes.

The strangest thing about today is that Trump winning doesn’t seem to have made his supporters happy - they seem angrier than ever. Reminds me of 2016 with Brexit. Same weird rage off the back of a desired result.

Not sure I understand the upset of people losing hundreds of bot followers. Appreciate I have a small number of followers but I cull all the ropey ones as soon as they appear.

Something that needs pushback is this idea that nobody saw a Trump victory coming. Pundit consensus was that it was a tossup. Public consensus similar - though there was a period where a clear majority of Brits thought Trump would beat Biden. See public view from @ipsosuk here
