Welcome news for UK drivers 🇬🇧 🚙. We've now secured agreement with all 27 EU Member States to recognise UK licences WITHOUT the need for an International Drivers Permit. From tomorrow, UK drivers can continue to drive in the EU without an IDP (once Covid restrictions lifted).

@juliecmcculloch @ASCL_UK We can and should provide remote learning for all years. Ironically, we are now suggesting a more robust response than GW is today, and an approach he would have taken us to court for only 2 weeks ago!

Lots of confusion about whether or not secondary schools are expected to provide remote education to students other than those in exam years w/b 4 Jan. Seems bizarre if not! Info so far contradictory. Have asked for urgent clarification from DfE. @ASCL_UK

We have lanes and no footpaths. Inside vehicles it is.

Parents should avoid driving them to school as pollution is a few times higher inside the vehicles then on the road itself.

Right - important clarification: Remote learning to be provided for primary pupils not in school. However, for the first week back in January (from Mon 4) - secondary schools only have to provide remote learning for exam pupils (so they can prioritise setting up testing)

@M_X_F It does make it a challenge to run a whole year group. Throughput is quite low, so to get 100 done they say 3 hours with 9 staff. We are 90% on buses, so not sure where we put everyone waiting to test and maintain social distance 🤷

@nikkibissett @educationgovuk Indeed, makes it hard to plan which year groups to test if we don’t know how many we’ll get in the initial allocation.
