Politicians are lobbied by ticket companies, it's why you'll often see them at big gigs/sports events. The biggest "legal" seller of tickets was able to act as a tout today, with total immunity from the law. It's not free market capitalism, it's touting, protected.

Ticket companies know what they are doing. The "buzz" of getting into the buy phase after 4 hrs is the same dopamine hit gamblers experience. At that stage, £150 to £400 price rise no longer is a choice, it's an impulse buy. An unethical/should be illegal business practice.

It was fitting that on Bonfire Night eve @embrace made the sparks fly at @TramshedCF. In revisiting their debut album The Good Will Out, the ageless Danny McNamara (he definitely has a painting in his attic) may have inadvertently taunted the bald and the portly among us with his magnificent hair and 34 inch waist, but what a joyful sold-out show this was. 25 years since its release the grand ambition of their first long player still rings true - with its spiralling levels of emotional fervour and epic intent, it still retains its ability to lift you skywards. Thankfully, Embrace continue to defy convention and the ever diminishing returns of the '90s heritage circuit. Still creating, still tugging on the heartstrings and laying bare the complexities of human existence, while fashioning those trademark anthems with an instinctive reflex, it's evident that like a fine wine, they get better with age. I'll raise a glass to that. 🍷
