@FrickinRider @lancestroll_ There is. Seeing cars suffer reliability issues makes the racing less predictable. If say Kimi suffered a reliability issue today and DNFd it would be gutting to see for him, but we would’ve more than likely seen a 3 way fight for the lead till the end.
English

@AndyKB_ @lancestroll_ THE TECH WAS IN ITS INFANCY BACK THEN WE DO NOT HAVE THAT PROBLEM NOW. Theres no justification man
English

New regs never do this in literally the entire history of the sport?
zey ☾@moonystappen
im so glad the new regs brought the grid closer <33

Forget its many people's first regulation changes cause this is literally how it always is

@NotFifthGear 2 races of 2011 for an example. People
say Cadilac shouldn’t be there, well they still haven’t hit +4 laps down

English

This should be every F1 race if we're being honest. Cars were too reliable and this is a good thing

@lancestroll_ I remember 2010-2013 was super “bad” for it.
Everything was unpredictable with a 2 stop being normal, and sometimes up to 4 stops.
Seeing cars 3+ laps down was normal too. F1 bar the engine sounds and battery is back to how it should be.
E.g. This is Italy and Germany 2011

English

Why are people scared of mechanical retirements now?
This is a good thing??

@chicagomadepriv You got this. It happens to us all at somepoint, and it’ll get better.
I got let go from my job after a couple of weeks for no reason so both on the search.
Things will get better I promise
English

@Eddmillo @SkySportsF1 We will wait and see. He’s still raw and if Merc keep this up I can see Kimi winning a WDC within the next 3-5 years
English

@AndyKB_ @SkySportsF1 DOTD is a farce at this point anyway.
Building a fast car and making the most of it is why you challenge for WDC, but Kimi is not ready for that fight. He deserves the chance with Merc 100%, but he is incredibly mistake prone and that car won’t boost him, it will carry him
English

This Kimi glazing by @SkySportsF1 is ridiculous. He has dealt with minimal pressure all day and has been carried by his car.
He has talent, but does not deserve all this praise today!
#F1
English

@Eddmillo @SkySportsF1 The pressure of your first win at such a young age when so many have said he doesn’t deserve the drive is huge.
Maybe doesn’t deserve DOTD, but the drivers you have listed have won the accolade for that exact reason.
I think Kimi could genuinely challenge for the WDC this year
English

@AndyKB_ @SkySportsF1 What pressure? Sitting out in front does not mean you’re under pressure, and it you shouldn’t get driver of the day. Would Max/Lando/Charles deserve DOTD, simply for winning with one overtake? And taking into account his mistakes?
Kimi isn’t ready for a championship fight
