Pacific Crest Trail 2022, 191 days, 2466 miles. When I started this adventure, the thought of standing at the Canadian boarder at the end of one long path seemed outrageous to me. I did this. I'm especially grateful to Big Red (Emily) and Lucky (Luke), thank you x

Day 191 - Final Miles Walked 2466!! - As the snow started to fall ahead, behind, and all around us, we complete our final planned steps on the Pacific Crest Trail. Later than expected, disrupted by wildfires and disjointed by a visa run. It has been an indescribable journey.

Day 191 - Final Miles Walked 2466!! - Filling in the last section from Ashland to Etna took slightly longer than expected, we took shelter from the bad weather for 3 days before the final push. Dispite this, its been a wonderful end to an indescribable journey...

Day 180 - TM 1741 MW 2354 -... The first wintery storm is due on the West Coast in 7 days, we should be finished with this trail in 6. Winning the PCT means spending as long as possible on the trail, and we're giving it our very best shot!

Day 180 - TM 1741 MW 2354 -... A 30 mile backtrack from the terminus to the nearest road, 4.5 hour hitch to Seattle, a night with Red's great Aunt and a 15 hour train ride to NorCal. We're back in Mount Shasta, ready to start our final 140 mile wildfire fill in...

Day 180 - TM 1741 MW 2354 -... For the final section of Washington the weather remained perfect considering its mid October. Tagging the northern terminus and Canadian border (I'll save this photo until I finish proper), the 'walk north' part of our journey is now complete...

Day 180 - TM 1741 MW 2354 -... Reaching Rainy Pass we were pleased for a rest day in Mazama and the 'Lion's Den' Trail Angel. Our last section of Washington would take us into the North Cascade National Park, definitely a bitter sweet journey to start...

Day 180 - TM 1741 MW 2354 - Section 'K' through the Glacier Peak wilderness ending at Rainy Pass proved to be an extremely challenging hike. Between massive daily elevation changes and poorly maintained trail with 100's of blow downs due to remoteness...

Day 163 - TM 2465 MW 2140 - Making good progress through Washington, the weather is staying warm and the sky is (mostly) clear of smoke. Over 2000 miles walked, the end is in sight. 200 miles left in Washington then 140 in NorCal. Next 6 days from Stevens to Rainy Pass!

Day 151 - TM 2296 MW 1970 - As we continue our climb through the Cascades the clouds and the temps have lowered. After a couple of freezing days the temp is starting to rise, but the smoke remains. Two bear sightings this week (more than ever before). Next stop Snoqualmie!

Day 147 - TM 2230 MW 1905 - Leaving Cascade Locks across the Bridge of The Gods and into Washington (the lowest altitude of the trail, 123 ft), we have been climbing back up in to the Cascades. It's all wild fires and smoke from here, so we're taking it day by day!

Day 142 - TM 2148 MW 1823 - Oregon had many moments of beauty, but stood up to its name as a green tunnel of woodland. Currently the northern terminus is closed due to wildfires, with ~4 weeks to go we're hoping the fires settle and we can make it all the way to Canada 🤞

Day 142 - TM 2148 MW 1823 - after walking south through Oregon back to Crater Lake, then flipping back up for a final few days through the Mt Hood wilderness, we're back at Cascade Locks. Today we cross the Bridge of the Gods into Washington, our final State, and head to Canada

Day 130 - TM 1995 MW 1628 - Just some more photos from the last week. As we're walking Southbound right now, the 2000 mile mark is not our milestone but still a milestone nevertheless!

Day 130 - TM 1995 MW 1628 - After Trail Days we decided to walk south through Oregen back to Crater Lake. Mt Hood and Mt Jefferson wilderness areas have been more stunning than expected! Next we take on the Sisters. 148 miles left before we flip back to Washington.

Day 121 - TM 1848, MW 1523 - The beautiful Crater Lake ended this section for us. Now we're off to the end of Oregen, Cascade Locks, for 3 rest days and the 'Trail Days' PCT festival. Hikers from across the trail will fill the town for the weekend before continuing north!

Day 121 - TM 1848, MW 1523 - Oregen has given us less smoke and some (comparatively) easy woodland walking through rolling pine filled hills. Trail magic breakfast and the 1800 TM marker included. We've been a bit surprised at the multiple 10+ mile water carries in this section!

Day 121 - Trail Mile (TM) 1848 - Miles Walked (MW) 1523 - because of the various closures miles will be shown like this from here. We skipped ahead to Oregen for our last section, finally leaving California!

Day 115 - Mile 1600 - The end of the Californian section of this walk, we made it to Etna. From here we're forced to skip to Oregen. The last 5 days have, for the most part, been beautiful. The last day was smoke filled but the air felt fine. A rest day tomorrow then to Ashland.

Day 112 - Mile 1540 - Leaving Shasta we're on our way to Etna, and our last walkable section of California. We won't walked across the border (because of the fire) into Oregon and will skip to Ashland. Winds are cooling the air and clearing the smoke from our path!
