@VanceCrowe I spent more time with more of my family this Thanksgiving than any other Thanksgiving in the last 15 years. The weave of my social fabric and that of my family’s is stronger. Constraints are powerful.

Sacrificing a national holiday as intrinsic to our social fabric as Thanksgiving has lasting consequences. If this is what needs to be done, fine. But everyone should acknowledge that we are driving a spike into a gear of culture. Consequences unknown.

There seems to be a common view that modern plant breeding has led to bland, nutrient poor produce. As this thread reveals, sometimes it's precisely the opposite
