SLATER SCOOP: WNBA All-Star Arike Ogunbowale was arrested on Thursday while celebrating her team’s Unrivaled basketball championship at Club E11EVEN in Miami. Police sources tell me she punched a man in the face and he fell to the ground. It was also caught on camera.

Both the Canadiens and Lightning had their flights diverted because of bad weather in Tampa. Montreal is leaving Ft. Lauderdale now. The Lightning are back home already after their unplanned stop in Sarasota. Game 7 is Sunday at 6pm ET.

SLATER SCOOP: Falcons' James Pearce Jr. will have all of his charges dismissed if he completes a program offered to him by the state of Florida, I've learned. While details are still being worked out, Pearce Jr. would have to attend therapy sessions and stay out of trouble over a six-month period. His attorney, Yale Sanford, tells me the victim, Rickea Jackson, and the police officers in this case spoke to the state attorney's office and agreed to this as well.

This is a major story. TCO must be in place prior to an event like this happening. It is inconceivable that the city of miami or the county of miami dade would allow this game to take place without the TCO. And all indications are that there is zero chance that the TCO will be granted prior to the match tomorrow. Why not acknowledge the delay? Seems smarter than having a bad first impression or worse, endangering fans or workers.
