@ROTS1882 Utterly agree. Club should've prepped as a normal important game, and then appreciated the support when it came, but intead they decided to jump on the band wagon, try to make it about themselves (from a pr perspective) and totally ruined it by terrifying our weak players

The club totally overhyped the welcome, the pre-recorded interviews, talking about how great it was going to be. It was all too much. Let the fans be organic. Let fans do what they want to do. The club should focus on winning the football match, then come out afterwards and talk about togetherness. Organic fan culture isn’t relentless reels, pre-match player interviews, or fans on Sky Sports News interviewed about what’s about to happen. Stay humble, measured, focused on the only goal that matters, winning. Can we not just be fans for once without the club packaging everything up, only for it to be thrown back in our faces after a 3–0 defeat? Say nothing until you win a bloody match. Contrast to Everton - No mention before the game, not a single post until the fans were on the streets. Tottenham could learn something from them.

I know there are clubs who have it worse than Spurs. Sheffield Wednesday and Bury are examples. But in terms of the profile of the club and how much media exposure we are under. There is no fanbase on earth that has to endure embarrassment in the way that we do. I wouldn’t blame people for giving up entirely. There isn’t an adjective that exists to describe what we have to endure
