Most underperforming Meta ads have a creative problem disguised as a targeting problem.

If you're spending $100/day on Meta and only getting 4 conversions a month, the algorithm is stuck in learning mode. It needs more signal.

Taylor Sheridan. Noah Hawley. Eric Kripke. Guy Ritchie. James Gunn. What do they all have in common? They’re all being paid to infest TV with THE MESSAGE. TAYLOR SHERIDAN: Stuffs all of his shows with violent, profane tough guys who are somehow LESS TOUGH than the empowered females who make them look like worthless parodies. NOAH HAWLEY: Turned Fargo black but not good black — black criminals — then made the greatest monster ever created into an obedient pet for a man-hating girlboss in “Alien: Earth.” ERIC KRIPKE: Made "Supernatural" unbelievable with male monster- hunters who couldn’t even outfight tiny women, and now he’s enjoying killing multitudes of MEN ONLY in "The Boys." GUY RITCHIE: Took tough Irish gangsters and made them bend over for their tougher female betters in “MobLand,” then turned the legendary Sherlock Holmes into a multiple-time felon who gets bested by an Asian female Moriarty stan in “Young Sherlock.” JAMES GUNN: Turned "Peacemaker" into superhero mockery with drugs, gay sex, emotional breakdowns, and Nazi references. None of this is accidental. Your TV is being used to change how you see the world. And the message is always the same: Men bad. Women strong. Family outdated. Tradition oppressive. Deviance celebrated. Normal life mocked. They don’t want to entertain you anymore. They want to reprogram you. And they’re getting rich doing it.

@DVRichardson Good call. Both equally bad. Meta just makes it so much easier to use all sorts of creative now. So not ulitizing that could be hugely detrimental. Landing pages are a different beast.

The biggest waste of money in Meta ads: running identical ad creative across different campaigns targeting different people.

Meta keeps changing its interface monthly for no apparent reason. Every advertiser I know has lost hours relearning where things are.

Your Meta ad's primary text should lead with a hook, not a disclaimer. Legal compliance matters, but it doesn't need to be the first thing people see.

Facebook ads work. Meta's infrastructure doesn't always cooperate. There's a difference between the strategy and the platform.

The campaigns with the lowest CPMs are almost always the ones with the broadest reach. Let that inform your next audience setup.

If your Meta campaigns are optimizing for link clicks instead of conversions, you're training the algorithm to find clickers, not buyers.

Meta advertising advice: consolidate budget into fewer campaigns with more creative, rather than spreading thin across many campaigns with one ad each.

Most small business owners blame Meta when their ads fail. Often the issue is a landing page that loads slowly, converts poorly, or doesn't match the ad.

The best Meta advertisers I know test at least 5 different creative angles per campaign before deciding what works.

Threads is now part of Meta's ad ecosystem. If you're restricting placements to Facebook Feed only, you're leaving cheaper inventory on the table.

Your Meta ad's image does more work than your copy. If the scroll-stopper doesn't stop the scroll, nobody reads the text.

Running Meta ads without the pixel properly configured is like trying to drive with the dashboard lights off.

Meta advertising is a craft. Treating it like a set-it-and-forget-it machine is why most campaigns underperform.

Every Meta algorithm update makes manual targeting less effective and creative quality more important. Adjust or get left behind.

If you're spending money on Meta ads and not looking at frequency, you might be paying to annoy the same people over and over.
