Some of the things Trump said in the last 48 hours: - Hamas is behaving very well these days. - Iran should have missiles. Why not? - We're going to unfreeze Iran's money. It's their money. Why should we steal their money? - If the war kept going there would have been an economic catastrophe. So we had to end it. - Some of the guys in the Islamic regime are really nice. - If Iran didn't open the Strait of Hormuz our oil reserves would have run out in 4 weeks. We had to make a deal. - Netanyahu is crazy. They keep killing innocent civilians. He needs to be more responsible. - Without me and America, Israel wouldn't exist.

We are weak, vulnerable, unsafe, disrespected, and humiliated. You are not going to truth social your way out of this mess.

President Trump sat right next to Qatari Emir Al Thani and accused the Israelis of wantonly killing civilians in Lebanon, the exact way that Qatar, Al Jazeera, Students for Justice in Palestine, et al have accused the Israelis of wantonly killing civilians in Gaza for decades. When Trump said “Help is on the way.”, we thought that was directed at the Iranian people, but he was saying that to the IRGC. Oooops. Silly us. I think by now it’s pretty accurate to say that those who believed Trump actually cared about Israel, myself included, were wrong.

If you attack a hornet’s nest, you need to get all the hornets and remove the nest. If you kill lots of hornets, but not all, you’ll leave behind a bunch of angry hornets. Maybe the remaining hornets will become normal, and buzz around like flies. Or probably they’ll do what they always do - sting you whenever they can.

I can’t believe I was so duped by Trump. I’ve never had more faith in a leader, and never been more let down.

Reagan is rolling over in his grave. Iran’s nuclear ambitions were not curbed, and they have learned that threatening the Strait of Hormuz works and will undoubtedly leverage it in the future. Now, Iran gets to build brand-new infrastructure under this deal. Before the war, the strait was open, Iran was being crushed by sanctions, and 13 service members were still alive. Now, 13 Americans are dead, families have paid billions at the pump, sanctions will be lifted, and the bombing has stopped. This is the worst foreign policy blunder in decades.
