I love my wife and adore my kids. Dream of the day, when the Albion rule the world! I coach kids to play and enjoy the beautiful game.

#IROtravelsandmusings I saw this on my travels from London, Liverpool St station. The UK government of the time knew what was morally the right thing to do. Sadly, today’s government appear to have currently lost their moral compass! It’s all about the children.

The closure of Grangemouth refinery was announced in 2023 when Claire Coutinho was the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero! She did nothing to save the refinery or protect our energy security. You couldn't make this up. It's incredibly brazen.
Claire Coutinho@ClaireCoutinho

Last year Britain lost a THIRD of its refineries. Why? A Carbon Tax on industry that Ed Miliband doubled. We won’t need any less petrol, diesel, jet fuel, ceramics or chemicals - we'll just rely more on foreign imports. We must axe the Carbon Tax and save British industry.

BREAKING: Trump just attacked NATO and then goes on to say that "25 years ago" he said that NATO was a "Paper tiger" and that "they would never come to our rescue". FACT: 25 years ago was March 26, 2001. Less than 6 months after that, on September 12, 2001, NATO invoked Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty for the first and only time ever. They lost 1100 soldiers fighting for us. Trump is a Moron.

@darrengrimes Hi Darren, explained in the piece. It was an open, ticketed event with food served, so 'roped off' as per any catered event. The Open Iftar was mixed, save for the brief prayer session. Anyone or any faith and none could buy a ticket tickettailor.com/events/ramadan…

@BassfordDan @alex_crook Indeed we were never in crisis just a few idiots decided to sing “ you’re getting sacked in the morning.” When he clearly wasn’t.

Too many are too polite to say this …but give your head a wobble Nick! London rightly hosts Diwali, Vaisakhi, Chanukah and in a few weeks Easter celebrations But this nonsense of singling out Muslims at an Iftaar open to all Londoners as exceptional is just bigotry. Faith leaders must call out this nonsense from politicians who seem committed to causing hate and division.

I have lifelong ties to the UK, Germany, and France. I also spent 18 years in the US—where my whole family are citizens. I am profoundly embarrassed. When America needed it most, the UK, once our unbreakable partner in the special relationship, chose caution over courage. Europe for the most part is not much better.

This claim is inaccurate. The elections in May are local and devolved elections, not Westminster elections which is what opinion polls asked about. Voter behaviour is reliably different in such elections - lower turnout, and differences in support for parties.
Zia Yusuf@ZiaYusufUK

YouGov has lost a stunning 89% of its value in just over 4 years. Now they’ve stuck their neck out to prop up the cadaver of the Tory Party. If Reform wins more than 23% of the vote share in May, their polls will lose all credibility and their business will die. 🗑️

Quite the U-turn from Farage on the Iran war. On March 2, he was much more gung-ho: “We should do all we can to support the operation. I make that perfectly, perfectly clear.” What could possibly have happened since then to change his mind?
