Ireland needs a dedicated alcohol strategy combining preventative measures and services for all harmed by alcohol. Setting and achieving a bold new target of reducing alcohol consumption to within lower-risk guidelines would transform our health services.

@roinnslainte is considering a new Drugs Strategy. Alcohol is Ireland's largest drug problem accounting for 11% of health budget. A dedicated strategy is needed which combines prevention and services for all harmed.
