@maccakither I understand why he felt that way, but sulking is so childish. George needed to get away and he did, which is great.
English

@AngelaLeeAngle Sorry but I think he was very valid in feeling that way
English

@markeology @babybeginner It’s one of the great things about social media. You get to see the work of emerging artists… 🙂
English

@AngelaLeeAngle @babybeginner Thank you. I love that your feed is filled to the brim with beautiful images and my daughters art is among them.

Okay, now I want you to zoom in on these cherries Annika drew. Then zoom back out. Then back in.
Bear in mind she was only TEN when she drew this. Autism is her superpower.

Mark Wright@markeology
Look at this goldfish my brilliant, autistic, prodigy of a daughter Annika drew when she was 10 years old. I mean really look at it. She blows my mind.
English

@archer_rs They need to sack the weirdo who wrote this article. He is soulless and brainless.
English

@roisinmurphy She said her face looked liked a potato if it wasn’t correctly lit. She’s a card.

“I don’t have great legs, but I know what to do with them” 👌🏻
What're you giving me with the flying fish@RomanPBone1
Marlene Dietrich, publicity for Blonde Venus (1932).
English

@TristinHopper Start the reset now, or you’ll be using silly terms like ‘low IQ white women’ when you’re old.
English

I miss serious old people. There's something fundamentally wrong with having elders acting like children.

I was at a thing where the mere mention of the word "CBC" caused a bunch of shawl-wearing gray-hairs to applaud and cheer. This country can be exhausting, man.
English

@babybeginner @AngelaLeeAngle I love that so many people get to see it here. I'm the type of dad that pulls her art up on my phone and shows it to my doctor and people in line at the bank.
English

@realsashastone They haven’t forgotten. They’re pretending to because it’s fashionable, which makes it more hideous, but means it’s temporary (I think I might be an optimist).
English

@LeahFHardy @NABurkinshaw I think my family deserved to be yelled at. They get so complacent having a nice lady around doing stuff for them all the time… !
English

@NABurkinshaw Try it. I wish I’d started earlier so I would have shouted at my family less in peri. I couldn’t stay on it as it reactivated my endometriosis in menopause and I’m fine now. Menopause is peaceful compared to the chaos of peri.
English

With apologies to the gentlemen in my timeline, but...
Ladies of a Certain Age: HRT? Pros and cons. I don't want to, but it's getting to the point where SOMETHING needs to be done...
(NB: I know there are many who are evangelical about it but I am hesitant to become dependent on any sort of drug/medicine if I can help it).
English

@Israellycool Sounds good… not enough water to douse the flames and a natural bellows.
English

@MsPollyClark @NABurkinshaw If that’s how you felt during menopause it’s great that you could take something for it, but I’m not sure you can extrapolate to the degree that you have here (you may also scare the peri women unnecessarily). Some of us have not experienced it in the same way you have.
English

@NABurkinshaw Life saver in my opinion. Oestrogen deficiency isn't like lacking a bit of vitamin C. It's a catastrophic medical condition with far reaching consequences.
English

I'm actually in a bad place right now about my books. True story. I rent a storage van to keep them in; I realized that in 10 years I would've spent enough money to buy a new car. But I can't bring them into the house because there are to many.
But parting with them will kill me.
Joce Leigh@joce_leigh
I photographed some of my bookshelves recently. I am in the 3% that have over 1000 and yes, the more I have, the more disorganized it has gotten! I know where they all are though! I also got rid of so many classics after my degree thinking the library has them but now they don’t! @BookwormBean -moving discussion and deleting on the voting thread
English

@Defo_not_Dave @NABurkinshaw @BradfemlyWalsh I’m in my late 50s and don’t take hrt. While there’s ample time yet to deteriorate, I’m good for now.
If menopause had brought on insomnia, I would have taken hrt, but as it didn’t, I thought, what the h, I’ll go full crone!
English

@NABurkinshaw @BradfemlyWalsh Bent over crones with osteoporosis and lower cognitive function.
High suicide rates in women in their 50s. Women leaving the workplace earlier than intended.
English

@NABurkinshaw I don’t take HRT. I wonder if not taking it is responsible for a pleasant kind of objectivity that has arisen in me. It feels good and I don’t want to mess with it.
Either way, I don’t want to go through an adjustment period of working out how hrt has affected me etc.
