When I think about leaving TX or the US I look at my students in the most danger are the ones who have no choice but to stay. I think about how they have so few people fighting for them & if I leave they'd have less. So I stay & keep running, fighting, bc one day we'll go blue.

@jpcurlylocks I don't remember the last time I got so much done on a conference day, observed my SLPA for a few hrs, two ARDs, tested 2 kiddos, wrote up an eval, anything to prevent myself from thinking of politics. Thankfully none of the kiddos I was with are too young to talk abt politics.

It's hard to work at a school where some of us are trying not to cry or scream all day and the rest are super happy about the results.

@gayguycandleco Time to have random dem rallies and parades bc we can, time to be even louder outside their events than they are inside, time to make chucks or aviators or a flaming donkey a symbol they can't ignore anymore. Time to be louder and more visible than they ever have been.

We have to stop playing by the rules and norms of the past. We can’t spend the next four years — or however long this nightmare ensues — trying to preserve tradition with a man who doesn’t give a fuck about any of it. Americans have shown they don’t care about the rules or the norms. Play by the rules Americans have set for us.

It's time to get as loud & present as they've been. They have an event, we're outside w/ signs yelling the truth, random parades for democrats everywhere, constantly wearing chucks and aviators, rallies to remind ourselves we're still here. Time to beat them at their own game.

A friend of mine who voted for Harris had the audacity to say to me, “well, at least things will be cheaper,” despite me warning everyone around me for months about Trump’s plan for tariffs. We are dealing with an electorate that is just absolutely clueless.

I want to start an organization that runs commercials to educate people on common misconceptions, like gas prices, trickle down economics, why people flee their countries to come here. We have to stop lack of knowledge leading to ppl to make bad political decisions.
