@lukejcr You’re not fooling SEND parents! We see what Labour are prioritising and it isn’t our children or parental choice.

I literally COULD NOT BELIEVE what I was hearing as I sat in a debate in Parliament yesterday. What was it on? SEND. What did I hear? Well… I thought it was recognised cross-party that something radical has to change when it comes to SEND support in schools? But the right-wing lot showed exactly how much they care. For starters, Reform didn’t even bother to show up. Are you even surprised at this point with those part-timers? No apologies for their outrageous words in the past on SEND children. Tice has previously said conditions like ADHD are overdiagnosed. Councillors making even more outrageous remarks. And Tice himself even calling the sight of children wearing ear defenders in classrooms “insane”. These are children. Honestly, how cruel do you have to be? Most jawdroppingly of all, yesterday, some Tories turned up to DEFEND parts of the current system. Yep, you read that correctly. Their government created an adversarial and underfunded system that failed children. They simply shrugged their shoulders when it came to helping mainstream schools do more. Labour? We're fixing the system for good. With children at the heart of everything we’re doing. More funding. Earlier support. Specialist staff. Inclusive, mainstream schools. I just don’t get why right-wingers don’t seem to care about SEND. Or even worse, want to be so cruel about it? Can anyone explain?

Well done @RachelReevesMP. Thanks to the politics-of-jealousy inspired VAT raid on private schools, Immanuel College, a popular and high-performing Jewish school, is closing at the end of the academic year. Great result 👍

@SteveLawrence_ @TiceRichard Reform have previously committed to reversing VAT, stopping England being an international outlier in taxing education & penalising parental choice. Wish they’d go further and let the money follow the child to enable full parental choice. Imagine, progressive education policy!?!

@TomTugendhat Sloppy and opportunistic Tom, jumping to conclusions based on a single source. We need the @Conservatives to be the grown ups and not fall for this type of populist nonsense. No attempt to verify sources or attempt to understand the wider context. And no correction? Do better!

@ZiaYusufUK You’re on the same side as @KemiBadenoch re VAT on independent schools. Argument isn’t how many schools have closed, it’s how many children have been unnecessarily impacted by Labour’s tax! BP claimed it wouldn’t affect many, except it’s disproportionately impacted girls & SEND

This is gonna piss u off!! 😱🤯🤬🤬🤬 Note: These are rough numbers. Take-home pay varies by province, benefits, pensions, and deductions. Other expenses are also approximate figures. The point here isn't precision - it's direction. The Uncomfortable Reality: In Canada, you can earn $100K-$130K... and still end up with less money at the end of the month than someone making $35K. Harry went to school he took on OSAP Let that sink in. he took on student debt This isn't about attacking social programs. They exist for a reason. But at some point, you have to ask: What exactly are we incentivizing? Because right now, the people taking on more risk, working longer hours, and producing more value are not meaningfully ahead. In fact, they have even less money left over at the end of the month. And when effort stops translating into reward, people stop pushing. Top talent leaves. Ambition dies. Productivity drops. so Harry who's busting his balls and And then everyone wonders why the economy feels stagnant. @abdazizmo7amd Blaming Israel for all your problems yet allocating no accountability to Hamas or 7 Oct. Context…Israel built the iron dome. Hames built tunnels, not shelters. Only a single mention of Hamas on your timeline. No doubt you’ll vote for them when they eventually allow elections!?

@LoveIntegrity9 You could try calling your local Hatzola service when you need help… Best part is regardless of your narrow minded & bigoted views they’d STILL help you. Imagine that. You’re sharing conspiracy theories & pretending to worry about taxes while they’re contributing to society!

@HarleyShah Jews own the media, right??, so makes sense the coverage was immediate? And no doubt the ambulances were funded by Israel in an attempt to undermine the NHS and privatise it?

@doctor_rahmeh Perhaps you should have called Hatzola or better yet fundraised for a volunteer ambulance service?? Instead, what did you do? Keep digging with the supremacy BS! YOU are contributing to the Dr shortage by being unable to work professionally within the NHS. Accountability!

When I worked in Leeds, we had the third busiest emergency department in the country. A British man in his 40s tragically died waiting in the hallway outside of the department with acute pancreatitis. He was not the only patient to die in that corridor. There was hardly a day when very unwell patients weren't lined up in the corridors and waiting in ambulances outside the ED because they couldn't be offloaded. The NHS does not have enough staff (especially doctors), beds, or ambulances. But here we are loaning NHS ambulances for a private service. This is not generosity, this is supremacy.
Wes Streeting@wesstreeting

@Councillorsuzie Yep - four ambulances with them now are on loan. We’re funding permanent replacements, too. That means that the money being donated will deliver over and above what they had before the attack: stronger, not weaker. Hate can’t win.

@RedCollectiveUK @BrownSulabrown You should see the MOTs on the vehicles. Failed! Also the crowd funder has exceed a million pounds to replace 4 ambulances. Streeting has given away 5 NHS ones which could be the difference between life & death for people waiting & waiting for an ambulance in London.

Now, my math may not be great. Still, official Companies House documentation seems to show Hatzola spent £23,830 on 'insurance' last year, which I imagine would cover alleged arson attacks on aging ambulances. So, why is our government fleecing the NHS to gift them new ones?

Hi Wes, I appreciate the support and display of solidarity. We cannot allow antisemitism or any forms of hate to win, but three very important questions. 1) Were the ambulances not insured? I thought every ambulance had to be to carry a patient. 2) Will this be the same for any private sector or charity sector health provider going forward? 3) Is this coming from the NHS budget or another budget? Thanks,
Wes Streeting@wesstreeting
