This is my take as a black women, I don’t believe in dogpiling BUT this is not something I can ignore either. I have seen the original posts and this. My race is not a fantasy, it is not “brunette” it is black. Black people and culture have a lot it it, its rooted in pain and sorrow but joy, food, music, community. I am proud to be black although there are societal issues with being black. Racism is still deep rooted in this world, whenever racist get angry they default to calling us names, our natural hair gets questioned, our wigs/weaves get questioned, our braids and dreads get questioned, we will walk into a room, minding our business and sometimes get stared down. I once went to swarovski crystal with my mum, she wanted to look at rings. The women serving us was looking sideways at her until she looked down and saw she was wearing a swarovski ring. THIS is what it means to be black. Yes black people may use white models, personally I’m not fond of that either but we all know why they do. Its not the same, you can have whatever colour you want in terms of purple, blue, green but you do NOT get to use my skin colour when you are not apart of my community. Its fucked up and its just another way white people are using black people and culture and then telling us to deal with it. I don’t care if you’re a “sheep” or “brunette” , you’re just hiding behind labels to try and make yourself seem justified
