PlayStation has responded to the reports of online check-ins required for licenses, saying nothing has changed: “Players can continue to access and play their purchased games as usual. A one-time online check is required to confirm the game's license, after which no further check-ins are required.”

Playstation Plus subscription canceled. No more DRM, and no more digital purchases on the store till things change. I'm just so over it.

An online check should not be required. Do not pass this off as a "nothing burger" when you are being treated like a criminal in order to use a product you spent your money on

Huge DRM Playstation update: Sony said new PS4/PS5 digital games require only a one-time online license check after purchase then no further check-ins needed afterward So this was a fart in the wind situation

Evidence is mounting that what's described below is what's occurring with #PlayStation's temporary "DRM". After the 14 day refund period (day 15 and beyond), tests show PS digital games ARE switching to a permanent non DRM licence on sign in. SpawnWave was NOT able to run newly purchased digital games that were less than 14 days old, without Internet and with his CMOS battery removed. Whereas user BigGoji WAS able to run a fairly newly purchased digital game that was 19 days old, without Internet and with his CMOS battery removed. So with this and other tests, it appears the licence is indeed changing to a permanent non DRM one after that 15th or 16th day of signed in check-in, at least based on different user investigations and tests.
